Mr Lam is a very experienced railway operation and maintenance manager who has more than 35 years of experience in the railway industry. He joined the Hong Kong MTR Corporation in 1978, prior to start-up of the initial railway. He has established himself in a very broad understanding of all aspects of operational railways. Fred has been a Senior Instructor for MTR in 1979, Revenue Assistant till 1982, Station Controller till 1984, Area Manager till 1990, Planning Officer till 1991, Assistant Planning Manager till 1999, Operations Planning Manager (Major Systems) till mid 2000. He advanced his career and joined Hong Kong KCRC as the Operations and Maintenance Planning Manager of West Rail reporting direct to West Rail Director, prior to the opening of West Rail, he was responsible for the commissioning, trial operations and the readiness of West Rail and Light Rail extension Opening. With the opening of WR, Fred took over the management of West Rail, Light Rail and KCRC Bus Operation, overseeing the activities of more than 700 staff, taking the post of Traffic Operations Manager till 2008.

Henry is a professional railway signalling engineer with 30 years international experience. He is an expert in railway signalling, train control and EMC. Henry possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the design, installation, testing and commissioning and project management of multi-disciplinary and sophisticated railway systems. He is also a world renowned engineering manager for railway projects and maintenance. Moreover, Henry has led safety and systems assurance activities on railway systems on the compliance with international standards and norms.

Henry has worked for contractors and clients, and is the key manager in establishing a railway specification framework for the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation, which has set out to become widely adopted around the world. Henry has delivered green field and brown field railway systems around the world, from North America to Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, to Australia, South East Asia to Europe. Many of which is now considered as breaking new grounds at its time, for example, London Dockland Light Railway, Hong Kong MTR ATC Replacement, Kowloon-Canton Railway West Rail, and Malaysia Rawang Ipon Double Tracking.

Gerald is a professional rolling stock engineer with over 35 years of international experience in the railway sector with which more than 30 years were in the management of rolling stock projects. He has successfully designed and delivered large scale, urban, suburban and intercity rolling stock projects in a multi-discipline environment in Asia, Europe and North America for reputed railway organizations including Hong Kong MTR (and the previous KCRC), Singapore MRTC, London LUL and Toronto TTC. Gerald is instrumental in achieving excellence in rolling stock engineering and project management; setting up efficient and effective project teams; providing innovative solutions leading to win-win results; understanding the users' requirements on both Operations and Maintenance aspects; resolving conflicts in a multi-discipline environment; and bridging cultural differences between east and west.
