Scope :

The key objective of this consultancy service is to reduce the project interface risk to the SBK Line Project arising from any gaps, ambiguity or conflicts as a result of interface mis-matches or discrepancies. Risks to the Project are considered to comprise of cost and / or time implications resulting from significant Instructions, Variations, Claims, Disputes, Delays and Failure to perform due to the above mentioned deficiencies. Therefore the objective is to co-ordinate and liaise with all Works Package Contractors including Systems, Civil Works and Multi Storey Car Parks to develop the Interface Management Plans and Interface Control Documents and to assist PDP to manage, monitor, control, review and follow up the development and implementation of these interface documentation so as to keep track of the actions / resolutions identified to address all the interface related issues throughout the whole project lifecycle. This is considered one of the essential and important tasks in the execution of the multi-disciplinary mega size project so as to ensure the whole KVMRT Project will be delivered on time, within budget and to the best quality specified as an integrated railway system.

  1. Ensure interface issues are identified at an early stage and efficiently coordinated and resolved, including the attendance of interface meetings;
  2. Ensure that the design co-ordination, interfaces and integrations are agreed with other related disciplines and captured in the Interface Management Plan and / or Interface Control Document;
  3. Review interface documents submitted by Contractors;
  4. Ensure that the interfaces between interfacing Contractors are managed, controlled and the progress of actions relating to interfaces are followed up and resolved in a timely manner; and
  5. Take lead in participation in the System Integration Tests during Testing and Commissioning.
